OVERVIEW

We’re seeking an experienced Umbraco Web Developer to oversee and enhance our custom-built website, focusing on property management and sales for over 600 vacation rental properties. The successful candidate will manage the content, implementation, maintenance, improvement, and support of our website, ensuring it functions seamlessly for reservation management, financial transactions, and fee setups, similar to platforms like Booking.com and Expedia.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years of experience in web development. Experience with booking engines preferred.

  • This role is designed for a self-motivated individual who can work independently, making informed decisions to improve our web presence and operational efficiency.
  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex websites, particularly in the hospitality or property rental sector, with a focus on user experience and financial transactions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the management and continuous improvement of our property management and booking engine website, ensuring a high-quality user experience for booking and managing over 600 vacation rental properties.
  • Implement and refine financial transaction systems and fee setups on our website, ensuring secure, accurate, and user-friendly processes for guests and property owners.
  • Oversee the website’s security, including the management of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificates, to protect user data and financial transactions.
  • Design and update web pages and templates to ensure optimal functionality and responsiveness across various devices, keeping up with the latest web standards and technologies.
  • Develop custom .NET and PHP applications as needed, managing a code repository for streamlined development and maintenance processes.
  • Ensure the website complies with all legal and organizational standards, focusing on privacy, data protection, and financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with various teams to maintain content accuracy, integrate third-party applications (including payment gateways), and ensure the website reflects our brand and meets our operational needs.
  • Analyze website traffic and user engagement metrics, using data to drive decisions on website improvements and enhancements.
  • Recommend and implement strategies for system-wide improvements, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and user satisfaction.
