THE ROLE:
Do you want to begin a career in digital marketing or web content? Are you a graduate of the University of Portsmouth? We have a great entry-level opportunity for a recent University of Portsmouth graduate in our Marketing, Recruitment and Communications department.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Web Editorial Assistant to work in the Digital Content Team on an 18-month, fixed-term contract. You’ll help with writing, proofing, editing and uploading content to our websites using a content management system.
You’ll also be involved in major digital projects and have opportunities to work with experienced professionals in the Marketing, Recruitment and Communications department and wider University.
You need to have experience writing and editing online copy and working in a team. You also need to have excellent communication skills and a passion for digital. The role involves communicating with stakeholders across the University and dealing with enquiries, so you’ll need to be able to demonstrate excellent customer service. An interest in SEO or content design would be a bonus.
The role is open to all University of Portsmouth graduates who graduated in 2024 or 2025, but would specifically suit graduates in Marketing, English, Business, Creative Writing or Digital Media.
Whilst there is a need to be in Portsmouth a few days a week, hybrid working is available for this role.
This appointment is a fixed-term contract (18 months). For internal candidates it may be possible to apply for this role under the Secondment Policy .
