JOB DESCRIPTION

As our Web Developer, you’ll be responsible for designing, building, and enhancing websites that deliver a seamless and engaging user experience. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into effective web content, graphics, and functionality. You’ll also ensure that our sites perform well, scale efficiently, and integrate smoothly with other applications. In addition, you’ll work with multimedia elements—converting written, graphic, audio, and video content into web-compatible formats using modern tools.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree + 5-years of web development experience.
  • Associate’s degree and at least 7-yrs experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.
  • Active DoD Secret (or above) Security Clearance.
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification
  • 5 years’ experience in web design and development, including user interface design, site animation, and multimedia integration using HTML and graphic design tools.
  • Ability to translate user needs into functional web applications, ensure performance, scalability, and alignment with organizational goals and external communication strategies.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated experience with software development fundamentals including object-oriented design, data structures, dependency injection, testable code, and algorithms

Responsibilities

PROJECT SPECIFIC DUTIES

In this project, you’ll focus on designing and developing user interface features, site animations, and special effects that bring our digital presence to life. You’ll contribute to the design team’s efforts to elevate the look and feel of our online offerings and ensure that our websites support the organization’s communication strategies and goals. You’ll also be responsible for developing applications that support both current and future web-based initiatives. To succeed in this role, you’ll need strong HTML skills and significant experience in graphics and design.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understanding user requirement and translating them into technical specifications.
  • Creating new software applications, websites, and other systems based on specifications and user requirements.
  • Identifying and resolving software defects and errors through testing and debugging processes.
  • Ensuring software functionality, performance, and security through ongoing maintenance, updates, and bug fixes.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation such as user guide for software design, development, and usage.
