What will be your daily pursuit?:
We’re seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Project Manager to support the redevelopment of Pursuit.com, a key digital touchpoint for driving guest revenue. This role will be instrumental in shaping the future of our online presence, ensuring the new website aligns with business goals, delivers an exceptional user experience, and represents all of our businesses effectively. You’ll work cross-functionally with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to bring this vision to life.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, highly organized, and experienced in managing complex digital projects. You’ll be responsible for aligning the project with strategic objectives, managing timelines and budgets, coordinating content and technical requirements, and ensuring a smooth launch. This is a high-impact role that requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
This is a 18 month contract position with an anticipated end date of April 1, 2027. This role is based in the Calgary office of Pursuit Support Services. Some travel to and from other locations will be required. The successful candidate must be eligible to work in Canada and reside in Calgary.

What will you do in this job?:

  • Ensure strategic alignment with the project brief and business goals: Translate the overarching vision of the website redevelopment into actionable plans and business requirements. Ensure that every phase of the project from design to launch, supports the projects strategic priorities and revenue objectives.
  • Engage and manage stakeholders across departments and business units: Act as the central point of contact for all internal stakeholders, including local marketing, performance marketing, operations, and leadership. Facilitate regular check-ins, gather input, and ensure all voices are heard and considered throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Consolidate feedback and secure approvals from key stakeholders: Collect and prioritize feedback from multiple sources. Present refined recommendations and secure timely approvals to keep the project moving forward without delays.
  • Maintain alignment with project timelines and milestones: Develop and manage a detailed project timeline, ensuring all deliverables are met on schedule. Proactively identify risks or delays and implement mitigation strategies to stay on track.
  • Conduct content audits and brief content development teams: Work with agency partner to identify content gaps, redundancies, and opportunities to support guest experience and SEO / AI optimization. Create clear content briefs for writers, editors, and designers to ensure consistency and alignment with the new site structure and tone.
  • Ensure all business units and offerings are accurately represented on the site: Work closely with internal teams to ensure that every product, service, and destination is properly showcased on the new website, reflecting the full scope of the business.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including IT, for technical implementation: Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure technical feasibility, integration with existing systems, and smooth execution of the website build.
  • Manage project budgets and track expenditures: Oversee the project budget, including agency fees, content production, and technology costs. Monitor spending and ensure the project stays within financial parameters.
  • Lead internal communications and provide regular project updates: Keep internal teams informed with clear, timely updates on project progress, milestones, and any changes. Prepare presentations or reports for leadership as needed.
  • Oversee agency relationships and ensure deliverables meet expectations: Manage external partners such as design, development, or content agencies. Set clear expectations, review deliverables, and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Coordinate launch planning and execution: Develop and manage a comprehensive launch plan, including internal readiness, external and internal communications, and contingency planning. Ensure a smooth transition from old to new site.
  • Define user roles and lead training for internal teams on the new website: Identify and assign appropriate user roles and permissions within the CMS. Develop training materials and lead sessions to ensure internal teams are confident using and maintaining the new site.

What skills and experience do you need for this job?:

  • 5+ years of experience in digital project management or website redevelopment
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working with content strategy, audits, and development
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms and web development processes
  • Understanding of UX/UI principles and digital best practices including evolving landscape of SEO and AI search.
  • Budget management experience
  • Experience working with external agencies and vendors
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical and content requirements
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
