Glenview Hotel and Leisure Club a 4 Star Hotel Property set on over 30 acres of stunning grounds, surrounded by the Wicklow Mountains, just 20mins from Dublin and Wicklow Town. You will be joining an energetic, driven and passionate team that are very proud of the standards we are achieving at the Glenview Hotel and Leisure Club.
This role is responsible for assisting with all aspects of wedding and sales, wedding client management, and event implementation for the hotel, as well as ensuring exceptional customer care is always achieved and standards in your area are maintained in order to facilitate the smooth operation.
- You should be able to prove you are a competent professional sales person and a good communicator.
- Excellent computer skills are required, knowledge of Opera and internal operations of a hotel is an advantage.
- This position includes both midweek and weekend work.
- Strong administration skills are a must.
- A professional and friendly approach, to be focused on providing excellent customer service.
- Operate and maintain a computerized system (Opera) for responding, coordinating and tracking sales enquiries, bookings and availability.
- Meet prospective clients for show arounds for weddings, private and corporate functions.
- Ensure a prompt and professional response and follow up on all enquiries.
- Generate quotations for prospective bookings and timely follow ups.
- Liaise with clients in relation to coordinating the key details of their wedding or events.
- Coordinating with the operations team in relation to existing and new bookings
- Monitor, coordinate and communicate event and wedding bookings, ensuring accuracy of billing information.
- Meet and greet all clients during the event phase and ensure the smooth running of it.
- Managing of customer feedback including responding to guest complaints and problems relating to weddings and events.
- Attend workshops, exhibitions and promotional events where required
- Work closely with the other member of the events team
- Recognize and maximize revenue opportunities by up selling and offer enhancements to create outstanding events
- Adhere to Health & Safety and other company procedures
- Effective sales skills to up-sell products and service
- Strong presentation skills
- A team player with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to use standard software applications and hotel systems
