Job Title: Weddings Sales and Marketing Manager
Location: Sedgewell Barn & Wigwam Holidays Sedgewell Barn – Ainderby Steeple near Northallerton
Salary: £13.50- £15.50 per hour plus potential bonus but may offer some flexibility for the right candidate!
Office based (but can be flexible with potential to work from home up to 1 days per week)
16 hours - 24 hours per week across 2-3 days – Monday to Sunday – regular weekend work will be required but we fully appreciate everyone has a life outside of work so please be aware this isn’t every weekend, and we only operate a maximum of one wedding per weekend with occasional evening work.
Summary :
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced all round Sales & Marketing Manager to join our team at Sedgewell Barn. We are a family run wedding venue business with a honeymoon suite/holiday let and eleven luxury glamping cabins. We are looking for an all-rounder who can take ownership of the role and really run with it. The ideal candidate will be able to not only market our business, but they will also be confident in handling the administration and organisation in the lead up to the wedding. There is a fun team atmosphere and sharing the office with our dog, Max, and the occasional farm animal isn’t out of the ordinary!

Responsibilities Marketing

  • Create and execute marketing strategies & campaigns including advertising, press releases and other marketing as required
  • Management of social media (particularly Facebook & Instagram)
  • Artistic responsibility for all marketing content ideally able to do basic graphic design (although a basic knowledge of Canva would be fine)
  • Maintaining and updating both business websites
  • Overseeing content creation such as professional photography, videography & drone shoots, as well as creating regular content yourself for social media

Responsibilities Weddings/Events

  • Performing showrounds of the barns & on-site accommodation for potential weddings and events bookings
  • Managing inbound enquiries for both weddings, glamping site and holiday let bookings – via the phone, email, messaging systems and 3rd party listings
  • Management of online systems such as – BriteBiz, Eviivo and 3rd party listings such as Hitched, Bridebook, etc.
  • Coordinate onsite events
  • Analyse data and trends to identify new opportunities for both weddings & accommodation sales
  • Represent the company at industry events and wedding exhibitions

But what we are looking for ideally:

  • 1+ years of experience in event or wedding coordination
  • 1+ years previous marketing experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must have a hands-on approach & a can-do attitude. We are a small family run business and at times you will be required to ‘muck in’ in other areas to support the business
