WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO KNOW

  • All round legislative knowledge of Producer Responsibility regime for WEEE and the operating mechanism of Producer Compliance Schemes, regulations, guidance documents and their interpretation.

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Cannock WS11 8A

Responsibilities

To manage the day to day operations of the Veolia WEEE Compliance Scheme to ensure it fulfils its obligations within the scope of theThe Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations 2013. To maximise and maintain the commercial profitability of the Scheme whilst ensuring all Scheme Members remain compliant with the WEEE Regulations.

  • To manage, lead and direct the employees in line with meeting the Scheme objectives and targets and operating in line with Veolia’s core values. To mentor and develop their skills to maximise the efficiency of the scheme and its methods. Holding regular 1-2-1 performance and development meetings.
  • To communicate effectively with other Veolia departments, such as Key and National Account Managers and LA Contract teams.
  • Produce & deliver financial data for budgets
  • Responsible for all aspects of customer relationship, although some are delegated to the team with primary contact with 150+ scheme members and their principal contacts ensuring compliance, accounts and associated communication are maintained throughout the year.
  • Responsibilities to ensure member companies are providing correct information to the scheme. As such, the role holder must ensure customers are fully briefed / trained to understand the regulatory requirements
  • Responsible for negotiating contracts worth in excess of £1m with senior negotiators of blue chip organisations.
  • Regular liaison with Veolia LA Contracts, WEEE collectors & reprocessors.
  • Regular contact, negotiation and discussion with senior officers of Defra & the EA.
  • Sale of excess WEEE evidence to other Schemes.
  • Ensure WEEE is processed via AATFs in the most sustainable manner
