Description The Department Supervisor is responsible for leading daily operations within their assigned department, ensuring that production of underground pipe liner products meets safety, quality, and delivery expectations. This role plays a key part in maintaining a positive and productive work environment through effective supervision, team development, and continuous improvement practices. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Hours: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Thursday Supervise and coordinate daily departmental activities to ensure timely and accurate production of Omega Liner products. Provide hands-on leadership and positive reinforcement to motivate team members toward high-quality performance. Ensure adequate staffing levels and coordinate scheduling to meet customer demands and on-time delivery (OTD) targets. Communicate clearly with team members and management regarding goals, expectations, and any operational updates. Promote and enforce all company safety protocols, identifying risks and ensuring the use of proper PPE to maintain a safe working environment. Oversee and support training efforts to ensure team members are capable of producing high-quality products consistently. Assign tasks with clear instructions and monitor execution to ensure adherence to company standards. Lead by example and guide team members through technical challenges and complex tasks. Encourage collaboration and a team-oriented culture by recognizing achievements and promoting positive communication. Evaluate work areas for safety concerns and implement improvements as needed. Drive LEAN manufacturing principles and continuous improvement efforts within the department. Required Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of mechanical processes and production environments. Strong commitment to safety; ability to identify, report, and correct unsafe conditions. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team in a manufacturing setting. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working across teams and departments. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and resources efficiently. Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement strategies. Flexibility to adapt to evolving production demands and business priorities. Team-focused mindset with a dedication to achieving departmental and company goals.
