The Pavilion is Cork’s leading lifestyle and garden centre. We are looking to recruit a barista to join our restaurant team. Your role will involve preparing and serving a variety of coffee and other beverages, maintaining a clean and organised workspace, while providing excellent customer service.
This role involves working weekends and bank holidays, typically from 9am to 5pm.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS OR EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of working in a catering environment is desirable HACCP food hygiene certification and Barista experience as also desirable
  • Experience of working as part of a team

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Enjoys multi-tasking in a busy fast-changing environment
  • Confident with simple mental arithmetic
  • Positive about embracing challenge and change, open to experimenting and fresh ideas
  • Looking for development and training opportunities
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: €12.70-€14.50 per hour
    Expected hours: No less than 15 per week

Responsibilities
  • Preparing and serving beverages and accepting payments.
  • Ensuring the beverage counter is fully stocked and can meet the menu at all times, notifying the Manager or kitchen staff of any shortage.
  • Follow the normal operating plan, ensuring correct opening and closing procedures and setting up and clearing down as required.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to any customer feedback, comments or complaints.
  • Uphold the highest standards of health and safety, cleanliness and professionalism and use your own initiative to respond quickly to issues or challenges that may arise when you are on duty.
  • Any other duties as would be expected of the role.
