Weekend chef, all rounder, with strong experience required in a very busy café/ tea room/ restaurant. We offer all day breakfasts, amazing cakes, great roasts and a variety of savoury dishes daily. Experience in a fast paced environment and Level2 needed. Small friendly team, straight shifts, good work/ life balance, food provided during shift. Due to the rural location, driving is a must.
Long term position to cover Friday, Saturday AND Sunday (other week days available for the right person with time). Shifts will vary (9 to 10 start - til close: between 3.30 and 5.00 depending on how busy we are). No evening shifts. We can be flexible with hours if needed. Must be proactive, eager & able to keep up in a busy kitchen and confident enough to lead the kitchen for the HC if needs be. Kitchen experience is a MUST as well as excellent personal hygiene and presentation. A passion for good food is required.
We are not offering Michelin star food to our customers but have an amazing reputation to uphold. High standards required. Open to new ideas constantly.
You will be responsible for prepping and serving Sunday roasts under the supervision of the head chef as well as assisting with other stations on Fridays and Saturdays. A strong experience in prepping roasts is required.
Tasks will involve prepping food, cooking, and keeping the kitchen spotless and tidy. We are ALL involved in cleaning and washing up.
Please note: this position is on a LONG time basis and will involve every weekend. PAYE only.

Responsibilities:
- Cook food to a high standard.
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under supervision of head chef
- Clean and sanitise work areas, equipment, utensils, and dishes
- Assist in receiving and storing food supplies and ingredients
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Help with inventory management and stock rotation
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient operations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service setting IS required
- Good knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Note: This position involves standing for long periods of time and sometimes lifting heavy objects.
