  • Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, prepare, cook, and serve meals to residents, ensuring quality and variety.
  • Follow recipes and maintain consistency in volume cooking.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety.
  • Control food waste, manage stock, and ensure portion control.
  • Conduct and record daily checks, including temperature control.
  • Keep kitchen areas, equipment, and storage spaces clean and well-maintained.
  • Report any accidents, near misses, or equipment issues to the Catering Supervisor.
  • Ensure the kitchen is opened and closed securely at required times.
  • Attend relevant training to stay up to date with food safety and operational standards.
