Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Fabrication Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the fabrication department, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. This role involves managing a team of fabricators, coordinating with other departments, and implementing process improvements to meet production goals. Team Leadership & Supervision Supervise and coordinate the activities of fabrication staff. Train, mentor, and evaluate team members. Production Management Ensure production schedules and deadlines are met. Monitor production output and maintain quality control standards. Implement Lean Manufacturing techniques (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, TPM). Safety & Compliance Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Conduct regular safety training and equipment inspections. Technical Oversight Create and edit programs for a press brake, pipe bender, Salvagnini S4, Salvagnini P4 Interpret blueprints, specifications, and job orders. Oversee use of fabrication machinery (e.g., CNC, welding, stamping). Troubleshoot equipment and process issues. Coordination & Communication Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and other departments. Communicate project updates and production metrics. Maintain records of production, downtime, and inventory. Requirements Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred. 3–5 years of experience in fabrication or manufacturing. Experience with accurpress brakes and shears in a plus Proven supervisory experience. Strong understanding of fabrication processes and machinery. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Certifications: CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) NACE/SSPC coating certification Project Management or Lean Six Sigma credentials Skills: Production and inventory management Quality assurance and control Safety and regulatory compliance Technical aptitude and blueprint reading Time management and multitasking Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing and walking through production facilities. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times. Regularly required to be exposed to outdoor elements.
