The Batavia Park District is committed to excellence and is a leader in providing leisure experiences that enhance the quality of life for our community.    Location:  Batavia Depot Museum, Batavia IL   Date Available: June, 2026   Job Summary: The Weekend Guest Services Attendant is a short-term seasonal position, responsible for aiding patrons with general information on exhibits and museum programs, gift shop sales, events and services.   Essential Functions: * Open and close the Batavia Depot Museum and assess exhibit space and outbuildings for general upkeep. * Greet visitors and provide accurate and complete information regarding exhibits and events. * Manage incoming calls and address patron inquiries in person and on the phone. * Process gift shop payments. * Responsible for upkeep of visitor areas to ensure the museum is welcoming. * Follow District and Museum communication procedures, guidelines and policies. * Perform all jobs and tasks within guidelines and rules of Park District’s Safety program. Qualifications: * Customer service experience preferred, but not required. * Interest in local history. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Ability to communicate enthusiastically, patiently, and empathetically with a diverse visitor population. * Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively. * Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.   Seasonal Work Schedule: Weekends June-August; this position is not eligible for benefits.   Salary: $15.00 per hour (DOQ).   The Batavia Park District is an Equal Opportunity Employer
