Overview:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Laundry Attendant to join our team. As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and proper handling of all care home linens and clothing.
Responsibilities:
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens and clothing according to established procedures
- Inspect items for stains, tears, or damage and report any issues to the supervisor
- Operate commercial laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and ironing machines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area
- Ensure proper storage and distribution of clean linens and clothing
- Assist with inventory management by keeping track of linen stock levels
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping department is preferred
- Knowledge of proper handling and care of different types of fabrics
- Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail to ensure quality control
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy loads
Job Types: Part-time, Temp to perm
Pay: £11.50 per hour
Expected hours: 12 per week
