Description United Plastic Fabricating is the industry leader in the manufacture of plastic water tanks for the fire industry. In addition, we design and manufacture a variety of products for the industrial and transportation markets. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform troubleshooting and repairs for process equipment including; CNC machines, Welding equipment, overhead cranes, hoists. • Apply practical understanding of electronics, relay logics, PLC’s, and three-phase electricity. • Ability to effectively use electronic schematics, ladder diagrams, technical manuals, and test equipment to determine defective components and perform repairs. • Install new process equipment and assist in CI projects • Operate and perform preventive maintenance procedures on multiple machines and/or process equipment. • Apply Continuous Improvement and Lean tools to improve/redesign processes, in order to drive productivity, efficiency, simplification, and waste elimination through engineering and reliability initiatives • Improve manufacturing efficiency by deploying methods for work flow, space requirements and equipment layout. Implement fixtures, and automate, semi-automate processes. • Maintain the facility with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC Requirements BASIC QUALIFICATIONS • High school degree or equivalent required. • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, ladder diagrams, and technical manuals. • Ability to work from various heights including, but not limited to: ladders or AWPs (Aerial Work Platforms) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • 3+ years of previous experience in an industrial environment setting • Associates Degree or equivalent (ie.
