Experienced *Male Personal Assistant/Support Worker required for a young man with a brain injury from birth living in the Ryton, Gateshead area. Our client seeks someone who is robust, well organized, and flexible.
Our client loves Newcastle United and football; he is very funny, charismatic, and charming. He presents at times with challenging behaviour and requires psychosocial support to maintain positive behaviour. There is a positive behaviour support plan in place overseen by a psychologist and there is a large treating therapy team.
Our client currently wishes to work towards bricklaying as a job in the future and plays football in his spare time. The Personal Assistant will be expected to drive our client to activities, support with activities where appropriate (e.g., going out for meals, playing football, going to the gym, seeing friends). The client requires support with his behaviour, personal care, medication and promoting his mood and wellbeing.
