Description:

Based in Craigavon, Co. Armagh, Wilson’s Country Ltd specialises in pre-packed, peeled and processed potatoes.
We supply food retailers, caterers and food processing companies with a range of products, offering quality, taste, full traceability and value for money.
Due to our continued success and business growth we have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a part time production operative on our SATURDAY shift.
Working hours will be every Saturday, from 7am to 4pm/5pm with some flexibility required.
Additional working hours may also be available, as and when required, particularly during holiday seasons.
PART - TIME - Hours of work will be 8 hours per week:
The standard working hours will be every Saturday, from 7am to 4pm/5pm with some flexibility required.
There may be occasions where cover is required on the other shift patterns and opportunities for overtime depending on the business needs.
Our basic pay rate is £11.60 per hour for over 18’s and £9.98 for under 18s, with an over-time rate 1.5 of pay rate per hour on hours worked over 40 hours and double time for any hours on a Sunday.

Duties will be based around grading, processing and packing potato products:

  • Grading potatoes for quality;
  • Packing and manual handling (e.g. filling crates/ boxes/bags, weighing, sealing, sleeving packs, using machinery/equipment);
  • Preparing potato products (e.g. removing peel);
  • Cleaning, maintaining a tidy and hygienic work area and company premises;
  • Working safely and maintaining a safe work area;
  • Following food safety and health and safety policies and practices;
  • Working efficiently and in support of production targets and quality standards.
