JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pub Chef to join our culinary team. Working in a small village public inn, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and safety, with experience in a public inn restaurant or hospitality environment. As a Pub Chef you will be ensuring that high standards of food quality and presentation are maintained. You will be required to work weekends.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in a pub restaurant or culinary setting is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
  • Passion for cooking and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • A culinary qualification or relevant training is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Supervise kitchen staff during food production to ensure efficient workflow and quality control.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, ordering as needed.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
  • Participate in daily kitchen operations, including food plating and presentation for service.
