JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Security Officer to oversee and maintain safety and security at Brixham Harbour during weekends. The ideal candidate will monitor the premises, prevent unauthorized access, and respond to any incidents to ensure a safe environment for staff, visitors, and vessels.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience in security or a related field preferred.
• Good observation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and remain alert for extended periods.
• Physically fit to patrol the harbour area.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations is a plus.
• Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence and CCTV licence are required.

• Patrol the harbour area regularly to deter and detect any suspicious activities or breaches of security.
• Monitor entry and exit points, checking IDs and controlling access where necessary.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, incidents, or emergencies.
• Report any security breaches, hazards, or maintenance issues to the relevant authorities.
• Maintain a visible presence to provide reassurance to harbour users and visitors.
• Assist with crowd control during busy periods or events.
• Complete daily security logs and incident reports accurately.
