QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience in a sanitation role within a food manufacturing, beverage production, or industrial equipment environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work on industrial processing equipment.
  • Understanding of USDA, GMP, and HACCP regulations preferred.
  • Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and operate sanitation equipment safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, or extended hours as required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Standing, walking, bending, and climbing for extended periods.
  • Working in wet, humid, and varying temperature environments.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily and deep cleaning of production equipment according to sanitation SOPs.
  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble industrial machinery, ensuring proper function after sanitation.
  • Safely handle and mix cleaning chemicals, following all OSHA and food safety guidelines.
  • Operate sanitation equipment such as pressure washers and foamers.
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections to verify sanitation effectiveness and readiness for production.
  • Work closely with Quality and Production teams to address sanitation issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate cleaning and inspection records in compliance with USDA and company standards.
  • Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures when cleaning equipment.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance sanitation efficiency.
