The Garden Café at Glendoick Garden Centre is looking for a weekend front of house supervisor with bags of energy and a bubbly personality to join our fantastic team.
Our standards are very high, so yours must be too. It is important that you can inspire the rest of the team to maintain our high standards and build an in-depth knowledge of what we can offer.
We will consider applicants with prior management experience or candidates with experience in a restaurant/bakery environment. You must have a minimum of 1 year’s experience at supervisory level.
The role is part-time - 16 hours a week working Saturday and Sundays only, no late nights required. This would would suit mature students.

KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations is advantageous.
    Due to our location and limited public transport, applicants must have a drivers licence and have access to their own vehicle.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Front of House Manager in the day-to-day operation of the Café, leading and motivating the team in the Manager’s absence
  • Assist with the development of staff training
  • Ensure efficient and appropriate service at all stages, from preparation to delivery.
  • Prepare hot and cold drinks, serve food, clear tables and general café duties as required
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and comply with health & safety standards.
