Support4u are a Supported Living service in the Walsall area, and are seeking to recruit enthusiastic, caring flexible support workers to provide support with housing, tenancy & life skills for adults with learning disabilities, Mental Health needs, autism and behaviours that challenge and other complex conditions.
Our Support Worker roles are immensely rewarding and enjoyable. Every person we support is unique and is supported in their daily lives as they wish, so no two days will be the same. You will support individuals with tasks such as budgeting, attending appointments & encouraging individuals to access all community resources and amenities. You will work with service users to enhance their life skills to enable them to live safely & independently.
Previous experience is essential working with service users that challenge and you must be able to demonstrate an awareness of meeting the social, cultural and religious needs of the client group whilst promoting equal opportunities.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, work well as part of a team and understand the issues and requirements of people that challenge. Additionally, you will deliver support using a person centered approach, following individual support plans and risk assessments, whilst also meeting agreed outcomes.
We provide an induction and training program as well as supporting you through your Training Qualifications. Care experience isn’t always essential but a passion for enabling people to live fun and fulfilled lives is.

Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance to individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management
- Support individuals in participating in community activities and social events
- Help individuals develop and maintain independent living skills
- Document and report any changes in behavior or health status to appropriate supervisors
- Collaborate with a team of professionals to create and implement individualized care plans

- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging situations
- Patience and understanding in providing support to individuals with diverse needs
