Description Activities Assistant – Grand Villa of Ocala - Weekends Grand Villa of Ocala is seeking a compassionate and energetic Part-Time Activities Assistant to join our dedicated team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our senior residents by providing engaging recreational activities and companionship during the afternoon and evening hours. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, organize, and facilitate recreational activities, games, and entertainment for senior residents - Interact with residents to promote social engagement, emotional well-being, and overall quality of life - Assist with setting up and cleaning activity areas - Monitor residents during activities to ensure safety and participation - Collaborate with staff to develop and implement activity schedules tailored to residents’ interests and needs - Maintain a positive and friendly attitude to foster a welcoming environment Skills and Qualifications: - Previous experience working with seniors or in recreational therapy preferred - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to engage and motivate residents in a variety of activities - Creative, energetic, and patient demeanor - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Flexibility to work weekends - High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in recreational therapy or activities coordination are a plus At Grand Villa of Ocala, we value a caring and supportive community where staff can grow professionally while making a meaningful difference.
