DESCRIPTION

We are seeking to recruit a Weighbridge Operator at our site in Colwick.
In this role the primary responsibility will be to operate and manage the weighbridge system, ensuring accurate weight readings and smooth operations.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

• Attention to Detail: Accuracy in weight readings and data entry.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with weighbridge software and hardware systems.
• Communication Skills: Ability to interact professionally with drivers, customers, and team members.
• Organizational Skills: Efficient record-keeping and time management.
• Basic Math Skills: Calculate weights and verify loads.

• Record the weight of vehicles entering and exiting a facility.
• Ensure accurate measurement using the weighbridge system.
• Maintain accurate records of weights, vehicle details, and associated transactions.
• Input data into computerized systems or manual logs.
• Communicate with drivers and customers, providing guidance on weighbridge procedures.
• Resolve queries or disputes about weight discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with legal weight limits and company policies.
• Check for proper documentation related to loads.
• Perform routine checks and calibration of the weighbridge system.
• Report any technical issues or malfunctions
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during weighbridge operations.
• Monitor for overloaded vehicles to prevent safety hazards.
