What you will do: Under the direction of the Building Materials Store Manager, this position is responsible for recording the weight of vehicles entering and exiting quarries and material centers. Responsible for preparing daily cash deposits and filling out cash control documentation. Responsible for providing customer service and sales. Process orders for materials from customers at both the counter and scale. Provide customer service by informing the customer of prices, delivery, and any additional information required by the customer. Responsible for processing tickets. Responsible for recording the weight of vehicles entering and exiting quarries using specialized equipment. Issues tickets to aggregate trucks hauling material for delivery. Prepare daily cash deposits and fill out cash control sheets. Will be responsible for setting the schedule for other Scale employees, Counter Salespersons and Warehouse personnel Responsible for performing month-end inventory counts. Responsible for entering time into institutional systems. Perform special assignments as needed. Experience & abilities you will need: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be flexible to work different hours that may include overtime and weekends Must be a self-starter, and a problem solver, able to perform well in a fast-paced environment Excellent computer skills/knowledge of PC package and aptitude to work with company programs Demonstrates interpersonal skills; can respond promptly to customer needs Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively interface and develop working relationships with internal and external employees.
