Reporting to the Guest Relations Manager you will work closely with all hotel departments to ensure our guests feel recognised, valued, and cared for at every touchpoint. About the Role As a Welcome Ambassador, you will play a key role in shaping each guest’s journey. You’ll ensure a warm, seamless arrival and departure experience while anticipating guest needs, managing lobby flow, and building genuine connections that turn stays into stories worth sharing. What You’ll Be Doing Deliver a warm, confident, and personalised welcome to all guests Assist with check-in and check-out processes while managing queues efficiently Provide elevated service to VIPs, Elite members, and returning guests Anticipate guest needs and handle enquiries or concerns with professionalism and empathy Coordinate with internal teams to fulfil guest requests and resolve issues promptly Maintain accurate guest profiles and preferences in the PMS Assist with concierge-style services including travel arrangements and restaurant reservations Prepare and coordinate welcome amenities for special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries Promote hotel services and amenities to enhance guest experience and revenue Ensure the lobby and reception areas are immaculate and welcoming at all times Represent the W brand with style, confidence, and exceptional hospitality What We’re Looking For Previous experience in hospitality, ideally in front desk or guest relations Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills A genuine passion for service and creating memorable guest moments Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure High attention to detail and strong organisational skills Confidence using hotel systems (Opera experience is an advantage) Fluent English communication skills, additional languages are a plus A polished, professional presentation and positive attitude Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays BENEFITS Discounts on hotel rooms including all properties within the Marriott International group, for you and your family & friends The best hotel training opportunities produced independently by W Sydney and internationally recognised training programs by Marriott International Discounts on food & beverage across all our hotels Recognition programs to keep you motivated Enjoy your birthday off with birthday leave Wellbeing & mindfulness programs to ensure you stay healthy Employee Assistance Program ‘Great Places to Work’ certified MI RECOGNITION Marriott International is consistently recognized as an employer of choice globally by FORTUNE magazine, DiversityInc and Great Places to Work Institute, among others.
