We are actively seeking a Weld Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in New Holland, PA. This position is responsible for improving welding manufacturing efficiency, cost, product quality, and worker safety by analyzing current methods, developing new methods, new technologies, and cost reduction activities involved with Lean principles and activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive process related improvements to support key plant metrics related to safety, quality, & efficiency using lean manufacturing tools
  • Develops performance indicators to measure plant and equipment capacity output and identify equipment and process flow bottlenecks (manual & robotic welding)
  • Provide technical support to install new systems and capital equipment on time, within cost constraints and the production forecast.
  • Resolves technical problems and recommends production improvement
  • Strong knowledge of welded part dimensioning, GD&T, & corresponding tooling features
  • Work with operators, vendors and tool designers to develop tooling designs and actual tools within provided quality and cost constraints.
  • Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field
  • Or direct manufacturing experience and proficiency in the duties outlined above

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in metal welding processes (MIG)
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency, including Microsoft Office Products
  • Good leadership skills
  • Ability to work and make decisions independently
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Able to be flexible and adaptable to changing needs and priorities
  • Experience with robotic weld programming (Fanuc, Motoman)
  • CWI Certification

    Annual base salary range for this position is $72,750 - $106,700 USD. (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
