Description QuikCut, LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Weld Shop Supervisor to help oversee our welding operations. The ideal candidate will have strong welding skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to lead a team effectively. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the activities of welders and welding support staff. Ensure all welding work meets quality standards and project specifications. Train and mentor welding staff, providing guidance on best practices and safety procedures. Collaborate with project managers, client engineers and other stakeholders as needed to maximize efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction. Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. Maintain welding equipment and ensure it is in good working condition. Develop and implement welding procedures and protocols. Supervise a team including approving time, monitoring attendance, and performance management. This position will generally be a 50/50 split of your time – half operating, half in supervisory tasks Requirements Proven experience as a welder, 5+ years MIG and TIG preferred Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and welding symbols. Understanding and willingness to utilize Lean manufacturing strategies to improve efficiency and minimize waste. Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment. Ability to stand for long periods and work in various positions.
