Position Summary: The Welding position primarily involves welding thin-gauge sheet metal components, as well as some tube and structural steel. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Perform accurate sheet metal layout work using algebraic and geometrical calculations Other Duties and Responsibilities: * Keep the area clean and organized for maximum efficiency * Perform all other duties as assigned Qualifications: * 3-5 years of experience with MIG, TIG, and heliarc welding Physical Demands: The physical demands described here represent those an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. The employee is frequently required to grasp, handle, and feel objects, control and manage tools with full body control, and climb or balance. The employee will push and pull at least 50 pounds consistently, frequently lift and/or move from ground to table up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move from ground to table up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here represent those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a light manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally high for short durations of time with noise from impact tools and forklifts.
