1ST SHIFT 7AM-3:30PM, 2ND SHIFT 2:30PM-11PM JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible for joining metal parts using various welding techniques including MIG, and/or TIG. The ideal candidate will be able to follow safety protocols, and produce strong, clean welds that meet specifications. This role plays a critical part in the manufacturing process of the organization. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Set up components for welding according to specifications. * Operate welding equipment (MIG primarily, TIG experience a plus) * Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment. * Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area. * Observe and inspect parts to ensure quality specifications are met * Maintains adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices * Complies with all PPE requirements, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety toed shoes * Assists in other production areas as needed or related activities as assigned by supervisor * Present and maintain positive morale amongst employees * Thoroughly understand and adhere to the department goals, objectives, and strategy  QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship preferred * Proven experience as a welder (minimum 1-3 years) * Proficiency with welding tools and techniques * Flexible, energetic, forward-thinking, and creative with high moral and ethical standards * Well organized and self-directed * Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment is a plus. * Able to relate to people at all levels of the organization in a positive fashion WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Mobility: * Standing: Continuously * Walking: Frequently * Sitting: Occasionally * Bending/Stooping: Occasionally * Kneeling: Occasionally Lifting/Carrying: * Lifting up to 50 lbs: Occasionally * Carrying up to 20 lbs: Frequently * Pushing/Pulling up to 50 lbs: Occasionally Hand/Arm Movements: * Reaching Overhead: Occasionally * Reaching Forward: Frequently Sensory Requirements: * Vision: Must have the ability to observe and distinguish defects in parts at arms length and determine if further processing is necessary.
