Description
Description Operates various hand tools, such as pliers, vice grips, hammers, squares, chisels, and screwdrivers, and power tools, such as grinders, drills, come-a-longs, saws, hydraulic knock-outs, and hydraulic jacks, to fit filter units. Uses TIG welding to put together parts of a filter unit. Reads blueprints to know how to fit metal parts together. Measures and uses math skills to accurately place parts and drill holes. Operates a crane or hand truck to move filter units. Performs minor maintenance on the welding machines. Performs housekeeping duties in the welding area. Performs other duties as assigned by management. Requirements Must successfully pass an AAF TIG Welding test. Must be capable of learning to build any product from a blueprint with minimal assistance. May be required to obtain a crane operator’s license. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
