SUMMARY Layout, fit, and fabricates metal components to assemble structural forms, such as machinery frames, sheet metal parts, and pressure tanks, using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements. Includes prototype welders who analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan welding operations where procedural information is unavailable. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Follows all Company Policies & Procedures Perform MIG, TIG, Spot-Welding on Mild steel Stainless Steel & Aluminum alloys Work with Management and Engineering department on the development of prototype projects Completes all assignments in a timely manner Meets production schedules on delivery requirements Set up pre-fitted parts for welding. Uses hand tools, clamps, jigs and fixtures Work from specifications, drawings, prints or welding symbols Able to work with Acetylene Cutting Torch Open to work on the development of apprentices and new employees Assures all items on inventory list are logged in Must be a team player as measured by his/her peers Performs other related duties assigned Requirements REQUIRED High School or GED 2-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of welding symbols and blue-print reading Outstanding craftsmanship on manufacturing of welding parts Good interpersonal and communication skills Experience with ERP systems and following work order process instructions Able to perform repetitive motions for a long periods of time Ability to work on day/swing/night weekends as required Knowledgeable in the use welding machines from different brands Able to perform basic Math Ability to read, write and communicate in basic English DESIRED Robotic Welding Experience is a plus AWS Certification is a plus
