Description
Note: This is a 2nd Shift position, working a 4-10 schedule, Monday-Thursday from 2:00 pm - 12:30 am. Role Summary/Purpose: Welder is responsible for welding of stainless-steel, carbon steel components while utilizing and demonstrating high quality pressure vessel welds in the GTAW and GMAW process. Job responsibilities are not limited to welding. Essential Responsibilities: * Pass Dresser-Water weld test, not including butt weld * Small outlet welds * Encapsulation sleeve fabrication and repairs * Ability to set up and run all welding equipment  * Ability to trouble shoot and adjust current welding sequences within standards  * Test products or subassemblies for functionality or quality * Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products * Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity * Prepare and assemble materials * Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures. * Assist engineers in developing, building, or testing prototypes or new products, processes, or procedures. * Calibrate or adjust equipment to ensure quality production, using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, protractors, or ring gauges * Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications * Maintain accurate inventory of job materials. * Plan and layout work to meet production and schedule requirements * Provide production, progress, or changeover reports to shift supervisors * Set up and verify the functionality of safety equipment * Start up and shut down processing equipment * Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance * Maintain clean production equipment and work areas * Provide advice or training to other technicians * Proper selection of cleaning materials, tools, or equipment Qualifications/Requirements: * High School Diploma or GED. * Skills/Qualifications: 3-7 years of weld experience, Teamwork, Coordination, Organization, Planning, Time Management, Reporting Skills, Inventory Control, Documentation Skills, Data Entry Skills, Dependability, Supervision
