The business works with materials including steel, stainless steel and aluminium to manufacture fabricated metal products and components for a range of applications.

The business is currently seeking an experienced and skilled Welder to join their manufacturing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications and job requirements to determine welding and fabrication requirements.
• Selecting, preparing and positioning metal materials and components for fabrication and welding.
• Cutting and shaping metal sections using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Aligning and fitting metal components prior to welding.
• Performing welding operations using appropriate welding techniques and equipment.
• Joining metal components and fabricated sections in accordance with required specifications.
• Working with materials including steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
• Inspecting completed welds and fabricated components to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Finishing welded components using appropriate grinding, cleaning and finishing processes.
• Using welding, fabrication and measuring tools and equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintaining welding tools, equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Following workplace health and safety procedures throughout welding and fabrication activities.

About You

• At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Welder or in a closely related welding and fabrication role.
• Demonstrated welding and metal fabrication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and job requirements.
• Experience preparing, positioning, joining and finishing metal components.
• Ability to use welding, fabrication and measuring tools and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
