Jayne Industries is seeking an experienced Welder - Afternoon Shift, for full-time employment at our Plant in Stoney Creek.
The Welder is expected to operate weld equipment. They will weld ferrous and non-ferrous metals – Such as pipes, vessels, and other components used in manufacturing. They are also responsible for repairing any damages in metal components throughout the shop and always adhering to health and safety standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· 2+ years’ experience as a Welder.
· Forklift Operator certificate – Preferred.
· Overhead Crane certificate – Preferred.

EDUCATION:

· Highschool diploma – Required.
· Completion from an accredited College/Apprenticeship Welding program – Required.

EXPERIENCE:

· Extensive experience and exposure to welding activities in the manufacturing sector.
· Technical background and technical knowledge of the welding industry.

Responsibilities

· Analyze blueprints and schematics.
· Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
· Set up components for welding according to specifications.
· Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
· Align components using calipers, rulers, and clamp pieces.
· Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments in various positions.
· Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
· Excellent knowledge of various welding equipment and processes.
· Extensive experience and exposure to welding activities in the manufacturing sector.
· Extensive experience working with CAD/CAM.
· Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
