Description Company: Alloy Engineering Location: Berea, OH Status: Full-Time, 100% Employee-Owned (ESOP) Role Overview Alloy Engineering is seeking a Weld Fabricator to join our 2nd shift team in Berea, OH. This role is designed for a highly skilled professional capable of GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding on critical, large-scale components. You will work with specialized materials, including Stainless Steel and Nickel Alloys, in all positions (Vertical, Horizontal, Overhead) to meet rigorous ASME and AWS standards. Key Skills & Essential Functions · Precision Welding: Execute high-quality MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welds on steel, stainless, and high-nickel alloys. · Blueprint Reading: Interpret advanced technical drawings, engineering blueprints, and AWS welding symbols. · Custom Fabrication: Perform complex fit-up, layout, and assembly of large-scale industrial components. · Quality Compliance: Ensure all work meets or exceeds ASME standards. · Tool Proficiency: Utilize precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and combination squares. Competencies and Attributes Needed: Workmanship must meet or exceed ASME and AWS requirements. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Accountability on projects with little oversight on non-ASME projects. Passion to learn and grow. Accountability to the team by holding to attendance requirements. Requirements Experience: 5+ years of professional welding experience, specifically in heavy fabrication Technical Math: Proficient in shop math, including fraction-to-decimal conversions and geometry for layout. Physical/Logistical: Must provide personal welding hood and basic hand tools. Ability to work 55 hours a week. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Large-Scale Fabrication (Heavy Gauge). Prior experience in an AWS or ASME-coded shop environment. Familiarity with exotic metals and heat-resistant alloys. Operating a forklift or overhead crane is preferred.
