Description JOB SUMMARY The Fuel & Lube Beds Welder is responsible for the welding of Fuel & Lube Beds. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Cleans and Grinds material (steel, etc.) Welds and cleans the material for proper seal Installs tanks on Fuel & Lube Beds Fits and welds material together Welds the water and fuel tanks Monitors the quality of welds and repair leaks Reads the blueprints and interprets drawings Changes wire spools and sets up and operates welding machine Keeps work area and tools clean (sweeps debris, collects and disposes of trash, cleans up spills, and puts away cords and tools not in use away Completes other duties as assigned Requirements REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES Must be able to work well independently and as a member of the team Must understand and comply with safety and PPE standards Must be able to manage time efficiently in order to complete tasks according to production schedule Must be able to operate crane or other equipment when lifting heavy objects Must be able to read, understand, and complete work orders Must be able to document work completed EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE A minimum of 1 Year of Welding Experience Preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to weld in multiple positions (vertical, overhead, horizontal, etc.) Ability to work in an outside environment with inclement weather conditions (including heat, cold, dampness, humidity, etc.) Must have excellent vision, depth perception, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and steady hands Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move items or bulky objects up to 50 pounds frequently Ability to perform the repeated motions of reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending and climbing beside, onto and under a variety of heavy equipment Ability to climb and stand on a ladder while using equipment Ability to remain in a standing position for extended periods of time Ability to lift and hold arms above shoulder level frequently Ability to manipulate hand and power tools in areas of limited spaces Must be able to work in a loud environment May be required to drive a company vehicle on company property OTHER REQUIREMENTS Must pass a criminal background and submit to preemployment and random drug tests Must have own tools Must pass a physical test Excellent attendance is required
