Description
RESPONSIBILITIES * Practice safe working habits and follow safety policy, procedures and Job Safety Analysis  * Ability to work towards continuous improvement of product quality  * Perform all position welding following prescribed procedures  * Must be able to position fabricated components in fit-up jigs and fixtures and use turning rigs when necessary * Responsible for the high quality of product and good safety habits * Responsible for the safety and training of others * Responsible for compliance with all documented procedures and employee handbook * Responsible for the quality and quantity of the finished product * Responsible for creating and maintaining a working team environment * Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping * Responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance on associated equipment * Responsible for safety, quality, and production with limited supervision * Be able and required to weld all products within the business unit * Must be willing to cross train and fill in as necessary in other departments * Perform any additional tasks as requested by the Team Leader QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum of 1 year welding experience. * Be able to read assemblies, and welds from blueprints.  * Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded * Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage * Must be able to read a tape measure and be trained to operate overhead crane
