Join the Civmec Team After securing a very exciting project with Rio Tinto, Civmec are currently seeking experienced Welders on a casual basis. These positions will commence in mid-January 2026 and run through until the end of the year. The scope of work being undertaken covers most disciplines performed by Civmec within the maintenance space. The project will comprise of 7 shutdowns over a period of 12 months performing upgrades on the clients’ balance machines (2x Reclaimers, 2x Stackers and 2x Shiploaders). Shutdown dates for 2026: 31/01 – 25/02 16/03 – 07/04 25/04 – 17/05 01/06 – 22/06 21/07 – 11/08 24/08 – 21/09 19/10 – 16/11 The Role Solid understanding of current Australian Welding Standards Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards Perform Welding techniques including but not limited to, MMAW, FCAW, MIG, SAW Comply with company Quality Control systems and process About You Australian recognised Trade Certificate Construction White Card Work Safely at Heights (within 2 years of issue) Enter and Work in Confined Space (desirable) Gas Test Atmospheres (desirable) First Aid MSIC, or the ability to obtain Ability to pass a pre-employment Medical and regular / random Drug and Alcohol screens Additional Tickets will be highly regarded Civmec + You At Civmec, we offer an inclusive workplace built on family values, with a ‘Never Assume’ culture, sustained by our experienced and supportive management team.
