Description

Description Demco is seeking experienced welders with at least one year of welding experience. We have current welder openings at our facility located in Spencer, IA. Prior MIG welding experience in multiple positions (vertical down, horizontal, etc.) and material thickness is required. Demco provides a competitive compensation & benefits package that takes into account your welding experience, skills, and expertise. Starting wage based on experience. Hours are Monday - Thursday 6am-4:30pm and Fridays as needed. Primary Duties: Able to set a welder according to job requirements Able to read weld symbols To follow safety procedures To keep an accurate count on product Able to read prints and weld according to print directions Able to weld in multiple positions Able to read and use measuring tools accurately Able to use a hoist or crane and know the correct procedures to operate it To complete jobs on a timely and consistent basis Requirements Qualifications/Experience: Must have welding experience Must be able to pass a welding test Ability to read weld symbols Ability to weld in multiple positions Able to prioritize and sort jobs according to needs Able to read and use measuring tools accurately Be safety minded Attention to detail and a high standard of quality Must comply to ISO 9001 required policies Must be a team player who can work effectively in a team environment Good interpersonal, verbal communication and active listening skills Willingness and ability to learn and perform other jobs Able to lift 50 pounds occasionally and push/pull 100 pounds occasionally Forklift experience preferred, willingness to be trained required Benefits Benefits Day 1: 12 Paid Holidays Birthday Paid Off PTO Accrual Benefits 1st of the Month After 30 Days: Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life and Short Term Disability Insurance Allstate Accident and Critical Illness Plans Benefits 1st of the Month After 60 Days: 401k Retirement Plan Safety Shoes/Glasses Allowance Drug screening is required.
