Responsibilities

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

Carrying out welding/fabrication in connection with the repair/modification of construction plant and equipment in the workshop, as required. Assist in the ongoing manufacture of new and innovative machinery as designed by Allan J Hargreaves plant engineers.
Employee shall work in accordance to Company guidelines adhering to and fulfilling the requirements of all network rail standards and complying with Health, Safety and environmental legislation and procedures.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

  • Welding/Fabrication of plant and equipment
  • Produce welding/fabrication to meet requirements of instructions/drawings and customers
  • Examination for faults or flaws in welding prior to modification and final inspections upon completion of welding/repairs/fabrications/modification and repairs
  • Evaluate information and data interpretation of technical information
  • Diagnostics testing
  • Observe and comply with correct Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Policy and all Network Rail standards at all times
  • Conduct and complete duties to a high standard and maintain a professional approach to customers and fellow workers at all times
