Comet Welding is a CWB certified welding and custom fabrication shop located in Lacombe, AB

Comet Welding is looking to add a Fabricator/Welder for Steel/Aluminum welding. We’re seeking hardworking professionals who enjoy meeting challenges and surpassing expectations. Current CWB ticket is an asset.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
· Setting up welding machines and selecting the appropriate welding process based on the type of metal and specifications of the job.
· Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, or specifications to determine the size, type, and location of the welds to be made.
· Operating welding machines to perform a variety of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Cored welding.
· Maintaining welding machines, performing regular checks and preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
· Maintaining a safe and organized work environment, following all safety procedures, and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
· Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and making any necessary repairs or adjustments.
· Work efficiently as a part of a team with communication with other workers with timelines and job requirements.
This position requires a mechanically inclined person with experience using overhead cranes, drills, general shop tools.
This is a full-time position, a valid class 5 license and reliable transportation is required. Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7:30AM - 4:30 PM and some Saturdays. Wage: To be negotiated based on experience

Pay: $25.00-$38.00 per hour
