Description

Continental Sports Ltd is a third-generation, family owned business located in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
We manufacture, supply, install and maintain equipment for sports halls, physical education, gymnastics, trampolining (including trampoline parks) and changing rooms.
We currently have an opportunity for an Fabrication Engineer to join our team with immediate start. The successful candidate will develop a knowledge of mainly fabricating our equipment by working alongside our experienced engineers and by team leader instructions.

In order to be considered for the position, candidates should be experienced in following key skills and attributes:

  • At least 2 years experience in Fabrication and Welding.
  • Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Fabrication and Welding Engineering. (Essential)
  • Follow manufacturing instructions and understand technical drawings.
  • Operating power tools and machinery.
  • Practically and technically competent in problem solving, using your own initiative.
  • Have a positive “can do” attitude, with determination to complete projects from start to finish efficiently.
  • Operating CNC machines, laths and milling machines would be desirable however not deemed as essential for the fabrication engineer role

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be required to fulfill the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Fabricating our equipment whilst conforming to our Quality Management Standard ISO 9001:2015.
  • Comply with company Risk Assessments & Method Statements.
  • Comply with company Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintain dignity and respect whilst communicating and working with management and team colleagues.

Holiday Entitlement: 33 days per year. (Including Bank Holidays) Extra holiday for long service.
Contractual Hours: 37 per week. (You will be required to work a reasonable amount of overtime) Monday to Thursday 08.00 to 16.30 Friday 08.00 to 13.00
