OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in various fabrication and welding techniques. This role involves working with metal components to create high-quality assemblies and structures, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards.

Skills:

  • Welding certificate in the province of Alberta.
  • Proficient in welding techniques and practices, with experience in various welding methods.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise.
  • Should have a positive attitude and ability to work with others.
  • Ability to work evening shift; 3:30pm – 12:00am Monday to Friday
Responsibilities
  • Fabricate metal components according to specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Utilize welding techniques to join metal parts, ensuring structural integrity.
  • Read technical drawings and set up the machines as per those detail drawings.
  • Work with other machine operators and Production Supervisor to manage priority level of work orders.
  • Ensure all dimensions are accurate and perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications.
  • Enter CNC Files onto the nesting software to prepare for cutting, quantities of material needed and output to the cutting table.
  • Operate forklifts and cranes for the safe movement of materials within the workshop.
  • Staging material in priority sequence for work orders in the ques to minimize machine downtime.
  • Assist with preparing and maintaining production equipment for operation.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve fabrication processes.
  • Cutting and removal of scrap material.
