JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter/Fabricator to join our versitile team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components, creating custom equipment for the mining, oil & gas, pulp & paper, and shipbuilding industries ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety protocols.
This role requires proficiency in various welding techniques and the ability to interpret drawings and blueprints for effective assembly. Experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel and, aluminum.

EXPERIENCE

  • CWB Welding ticket, GMAW, FCAW and SMAW are an asset
  • Minimum 2 years experience required
  • Familiarity with calipers and other measuring tools for precise fabrication is essential.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiar with rigging and crane operations
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Responsibilities
  • Perform welding tasks using various methods, including GMAW, SMAW, and FCAW welding.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with others and understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Layout & Measure
  • Assemble steel work and other metal components according to specifications.
  • Operate cutting, grinding, lifting, drilling equipment and tools.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring they meet industry standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any issues as necessary.
  • Physically fit with ability to lift the minimum of 50lbs and capable of operating tools and equipment safely.
