OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards, as well as the ability to work effectively in a construction or manufacturing environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in welding and fitting within a construction or manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments for quality control.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Familiarity with rigging practices and techniques for safe material handling.
  • Experience with machining, soldering, plasma cutting, press brake machines, and assembly processes is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and stick welding on various materials including sheet metal and piping.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for fabrication tasks.
  • Conduct assembly of components according to design specifications while ensuring adherence to ASME codes & standards.
  • Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials and equipment as needed.
  • Perform pipe threading and ductwork installation with precision.
  • Execute basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments during fabrication processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
