We are looking to add Welder/Fabricators from 3rd year apprentices to Journeypersons.

Duties would include:

  • Accurately interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals and specifications and translating the interpretation into actions
  • Preparing raw materials for welding and machining
  • Setting up parts correctly and in a safe manner
  • Operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding ( GTAW ), gas metal arc welding ( GMAW ), flux-cored arc welding ( FCAW ), plasma arc welding ( PAW ), shielded metal arc welding ( SMAW ), oxy - acetylene welding ( OAW ), resistance welding and submerged arc welding ( SAW )
  • Operating manual or semi - automatic flame - cutting equipment
  • Operating brazing and soldering equipment
