SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

  • Minimum Level 3 BTEC/NVQ (or equivalent) in Welding/Fabrication or Engineering.
  • 5+ years of fabrication/shop floor experience within the welding/fabrication industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Strong team player with a self-motivated and proactive approach.
  • Customer- and service-oriented with good commercial awareness.
  • Capable of managing work within budgetary constraints and using data to drive performance.
  • Committed to continuous personal development and process improvement.
  • Willingness to take responsibility for junior team members (if at senior or team leader level)
Responsibilities
  • Fabrication and welding of mild steel, stainless steel, structural steel skids, pressure vessels, and pipework systems.
  • Acid cleaning, grinding, and cutting of materials.
  • Mechanical assembly and pressure testing of equipment.
  • Installation of plant and equipment on customer sites.
  • Inspection of equipment upon receipt or at manufacturers’ facilities.
  • Loading and offloading vehicles, packing, and despatch of equipment.
  • Adhere to health & safety and company quality standards at all times.
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks as required by the business.
  • When on-site, assume leadership of the site team as needed.
  • Support development of apprentices or junior staff if at senior level.
