Description
Primary Responsibilities Fabricate complex custom metal equipment using mild steel and stainless steel per prints, samples, and verbal instructions Perform MIG and TIG welding; ability to pass weld tests for each process Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings Create jigs and fixtures for weldments as required Assemble new equipment and components to specification Troubleshoot equipment and isolate root causes of mechanical issues Work safely and efficiently while meeting production and quality standards Job Duties Operate metal fabrication equipment including welders, grinders, and hand tools Utilize measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and levels Perform basic mechanical work including use of pipe threaders and conduit benders Participate in assigned projects and support continuous improvement initiatives Follow all safe work practices and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) Comply with all NOV Company, HSE, and Quality policies, guidelines, and procedures Support housekeeping and organization of the work area Perform other duties as assigned Education and Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of related fabrication or welding experience MIG and TIG welding experience required; certification preferred but not required Ability to read and interpret blueprints Experience using metal lathe, mill, and band saw preferred Forklift trainable Must be able to use hand tools and common shop equipment Welding knowledge and basic mechanical aptitude required Ability to work day shift and overtime as required To learn more about our benefits please visit our website: http://usbenefits.nov.com To learn more about our business unit please visit our website: https://www.nov.com/about/our-business-units/fiber-glass-systems
