Description

WELDER

We are looking for an experience welder with 5+ years of experience in Fabrication, we are looking for a candidate who can operate stick welding and has pipe welding experience. No flat plate or cold welding is required for this role
We are flexible with either hiring for the Day or Afternoon shift, however, initially training will be completed on Days.
The wage range we are targeting is $25-28/hr.

EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Certification from CWB or TSSA
  • Proficiency in FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) for carbon steel
  • Proficiency in SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) for carbon and stainless steel
  • Experience with MIG aluminum welding is a plus
  • Competent in operating hand and power tools safely
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • 5+ years of experience in a pipe fabrication environment

Responsibilities
  • Welding Operations:
  • Perform welding on carbon steel pipes primarily using the Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) process. In cases where FCAW is not feasible, utilize Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).
  • Conduct all stainless-steel welds using the SMAW process, following company procedures.
  • Ensure welds are clean, smooth, and inspected. Repair any defects before moving the product to the next stage.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure all welds are executed in the 1G position, utilizing fixtures and rotating equipment.
  • Stamp all carbon steel fittings for traceability; apply additional stamps as needed.
  • Adhere to technical drawings and specifications for all welding tasks.
  • Accurately complete and submit inspection and other required records daily.
